The TEX Combo Trip

Day One:    The adventure begins 9 AM at Lajitas Stables.  Meet your authentic West Texas wrangler, who'll check you in and introduce you to your trusty mount.   After a brief riding lesson, you will follow historic Comanche Creek as it winds its way through limestone canyons.  Ride trails leading through candellia wax camps and ancient Indian sites with pictographs, reminders that other cultures passed here before us.  Step back even further in time and imagine that you are on an ancient seashore as you view breathtaking rock formations, and perhaps even a fossil or two, here to remind us that this desert was once covered by an overland sea.  Your wrangler will serve you a sumptuous lunch before guiding you to your camp for the night. Kick back and watch the sun set over Old Mexico as you enjoy a meal by the campfire before turning in for the night.

Day Two:    Wake up to the smell of cowboy coffee as your wrangler prepares you a cowboy style breakfast.  Trade your saddle in for a paddle as your river guide floats up to camp to pick you up.  Sit back and enjoy the tranquility of the river as it carries you down the river .   Float gentle waters surrounded by breathtaking desert scenery on your way to the takeout.  Arrive back in Terlingua with plenty of time to clean up and enjoy dinner at one of the local human watering holes!
